Packaging and Timeframes

Teddys are generally made and posted within 4 business days, depending on how quick the purchaser approves their draft.

There is a Registered Post option at $9.90 for the first item and then $5 for each item thereafter. Some items are small and weigh little so there is no extra postage for them after the first item. For example jellycat jumpers if posted with a Jellycat (or even another jumper) are only charged for the first item.

There is also an Express Post option for $15.90 for the first item and then $5 for each item thereafter. Same as above re subsequent items.

The draft is generally emailed within a couple of business days but may vary at different times of the year, for example from September onwards becomes very busy with school / graduation gifts and then Christmas. If urgent there is a rush order option and the order goes to the top of our queue and generally drafted, made and posted within one to two business days. We don't guarantee this and time vary depending on our workload.  

Within Australia parcels are sent Express or Registered post with tracking.

Overseas is by Air Mail with tracking. Once posted they can take about 4-8 days to NZ, officially the PO advise 12 business days from posting and at busy times can be that. Further afield, anywhere from 2 - 8 weeks.

Deliveries within Australia require a signature, but when you receive your tracking email and SMS you can request they leave. We can deliver to homes, businesses, PO Boxes, hospitals, parcel lockers etc.

You can request for your teddy to be left somewhere with no signature, just request this on your order.

Only do this if it safe to do so, and of course this is at your own risk. If you choose this option we can track your bear to a certain point, but can't be responsible for any that go missing.  Signiture is the safest way.

Sending to the UK and European Union (EU)

Unfortunately since Brexit on Jan 1 2021 the UK has imposed a 20% VAT on the entire amount including shipping. This has to be paid upfront and a form completed and sent with payment prior to shipping. Since July 1 2021 the EU has imposed the same but at 21%. As a result My Teddy has decided NOT to post to these countries, sadly, due to the extra we would need to charge along with the time to complete forms.

If you would like to send one of our gifts there, please order and send to yourself and then you can send on. Please be aware this situation is on ALL items of any nature entering these countries.

Sending to New Zealand

Post to NZ is sent by Pack & Track and costs A$14.90 for the first item and $5 for the subsequent items (some items have no extra after the $9.90 as they weigh so little..eg heart voice recorders). This is 'packed and tracked' so you will get an email when despatched with tracking. Generally takes about a week from posting, but officially the PO advise 12 business days from posting and can be that in busy times or if impacted due to situations like Covid delays.

Just a note about Australia post services

Due to more people shopping online, Australia Post has seen a huge increase in workload. They are still very good but not as quick as they use to be. With Express Post the vast majority still arrive the bext business day to the areas they advise they should, but a small percentage can take 2 business days.

Please take this into consideration when ordering and order early if you know a special date is coming up.

Postal prices.

Within Australia it is $9.90 for Rgeistered Post and $15.90 for Express post. And for more items to the same address are only $5 per item UNLESS is a small light item like a voice recorder which does not incur any post charge if sent with another item. When at the cart you will see freight charges.

For overseas we charge $14.90 to New Zealand and A$18 everywhere else for the first item and also just A$5 per item thereafter

Once we have shipped your bear.  

You will receive a tracking email when your teddy bear is sent. 

This will tell you where you teddy bear is at any given time.

If you have not received this email, check you junk / spam folders for it.

Air Mail

International shipping times depend on the delivery destination.

New Zealand is generally 4 - 8 days although Auis Post officially say allow up to 12 business days from sending. Other destinations vary.

Air mail parcels are NOT insured.  Many countries don't offer this service.

Packaging

The safety of your bear's journey is important to us and to you.  Our personalised teddies are sent in strong sealed bags.

On arrival give them a good shake and a fluff up to get them back into shape.

Timeframes

Teddy bears are generally posted within 2-4 business days from ordering. (again no guarantee but generally do)

In Australia, if no-one is home the delivery driver will leave a card for collection from the local PO or leave somewhere safe if advised by you.

For work addresses, anyone can sign for the parcel, and PO Boxes will have a card in the box to go to the counter.

All Post Codes listed are within the Express Post zone and should arrive the next business day after despatch. This means to most places in Australia will arrive within 3 business days (if sent after 2 days of ordering).

If you are sending to a work address, please list as much information as possible including business name, floor or level or any instructions that may help.

Deliveries occur during business hours Mon - Fri (except Public Holidays).

Outside Australia

The $18 delivery charge covers standard Air Mail with tracking.

If you are concerned about the safety to a particular country, we can add insurance.

Just call us for a quote, it is usually only a few dollars for your peace of mind.
